Job Description:
Role Introduction

The Assistant Manager Inflight Experience Design sits under the Customer Experience and Design Department, mainly responsible for leading development and implementation of inflight dining and hospitality initiatives, translating strategic intent into structured programmes, partnership activations and service specifications. You will also be responsible for coordinating cross-functional execution of product and service changes while ensuring alignment with brand standards, cost-to-serve parameters and operational constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end development of new dining and hospitality initiatives from concept to implementation; and translate experience strategy into detailed product and service specifications in collaboration with Culinary and Enablement teams
  • Manage lifecycle of all products, and design initiatives, including concept development, prototyping, governance approval and implementation tracking; and coordinate cross-functional project teams to ensure timely and structured rollout of changes
  • Manage day-to-day execution of partnerships (excluding wine & beverage), ensuring deliverables, obligations and brand standards are met; and develop partnership activation plans including product spaneting, crew briefings and launch support
  • Prepare business case inputs and cost impact assessments in collaboration with Commercial; and ensure design changes remain aligned to approved cost-to-serve parameters
  • Collaborate with Culinary Design to ensure menu frameworks reflect approved experience architecture; and work with Dining Performance to ensure readiness for implementation without assuming performance ownership
  • Ensure equipment, service ware and soft product elements align to design intent; and support development of training materials and crew engagement content relating to new initiatives
  • Track initiative performance against defined success measures and recommend refinements
  • Monitor competitor and industry trends to inform continuous improvement, support sustainability initiatives within the dining proposition; and maintain structured documentation of design specifications and change history
  • Coordinate implementation readiness for cabin refreshes or fleet changes; and ensure spaneting and communications assets accurately reflect the product delivered
  • Provide structured reporting to the Manager on initiative progress and risks; and provide cross-coverage across design portfolios as required
Requirements
  • Degree in Hospitality, Hotel & Catering, Design or Culinary Management
  • 5+ years of previous experience focusing on customer experience, development including industries such as airline, hotels, restaurants and catering
  • Customer centric focused and able to design great customer experience and proposition to identify what needs to be delivered to customers
  • Possess good project management, research skills and able to balance budgets
  • Expertise in spanet intelligence and benchspaning
  • Good research and analytical skills with a learning mind set to continually research changing consumer trends
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Possess strong planning and organizational skills and be able to work independently
  • Ability to manage a range of stakeholders
  • Passionate for food and beverage with interest in current and local trends in travel, hospitality and F&B and how these can be applied in an airline industry
